Newman and his Pops in Mississauga...

It's Been A While!

There have been no posts on the Watching Newman Grow blog for some time now.
But a lot has happened since the last post. There has been a lot of loss in our lives.

On April 7th, Newman lost his dear sweet mother Kate Bride. He was the apple of her eye!!!!!

On April 8th Newman returned home to St. John's Newfoundland with Monica Dominguez.

He was met at the airport by his aunties Liz Duff & Wanita Bates.
It was great to see him and sad to know he had returned home alone.

It never rains in our lives but it pours....and on August 14th, Newman lost his sweet grandfather Harry Bride.

When Newman returned to St.John's he lived in Pouch Cove for a bit with Monica Dominquez and has since moved into town with Ted Langin and his two girls......Mercedes and Jib who are four years old and are sisters.

It took some adjusting but Newman has fit in nicely with his new family. I am told he rules the roost!!!!

 Proper Thing!!!

I will post more often for my dear friend Kate.

NEWMAN in Flatrock kissing the horse...

a swim to the island on a hot day in Elora...

The photos are a bit backwards, but you can piece them together and see that Newman decided to cross the river to the little island in pursuit of a swan... the swan took off, which I was quite glad about...

A little bit of blessing of the animals at the Catherdral in St. John's... late fall 2011

Newman, me, Po and Mom in Pouch Cove - December 2011

Dad and Newman's first Ontario groom!!

God love Newman - since he was a babe he was taught to lay down and sleep while he's brushed and cut and poked and soaked... he snores during the brush and cut and quite loves the attention, but the soak is not so fun... he is good though.

We are still here:)

This is the back yard of my primary school, St. Christopher's. You can see Newman has left his mark there... We go here to walk and hang out and watch the GO trains go by, which Newman quite loves.

This is Newman at the Barks and Rec dog care centre... He's right in the back next to the red great dane painting in the back right corner. He had a great half hour with this pack of dogs... This was our visit to see if it would be a good fit for a half day a week for Newman - particularly for dog socialization. Too many vaccinations required to attend, so we're gonna find some dog friends in the neighborhood for the next few months.

Above is Dad having a snuggle with Newms...

Below and to the right is Gord from Gander... me and Newman walked down to the grocery store a few weeks ago and I tied him up outside while I went in for a few things. When I came out Gord and his partner Jaqueline were talking to Newman and petting him... we talked about Newfoundland and have made plans to get together for a drink sometime soon...

To the left is Meita, a good friend of Ailsa's - she got quite a crush on Newman at Ailsa's birthday party and so we did a small photo shoot:)

I started this blog in 2005 when Newman first arrived... I was fairly dilligent about posting... but in the last while we haven't kept up... Thanks to 2 dear friends who have been missing the blog and gave me a little nudge... I love doing this...

So, we are back... (a statement which is soo bloggish:) at least for a time.

Our latest of travels and fun...
